Who Is Mya Lesnar? A Look at Her Life
Mya Lynn Lesnar is a track and field athlete from Alexandria, Minnesota. She competes in the shot put and has also thrown the hammer, discus, and weight throw.
She is the daughter of Brock Lesnar, a former WWE champion and UFC heavyweight champion. Even so, she chose throwing events over combat sports.
Her fame now rests on results. She is a two-time NCAA champion and set Mountain West records at Colorado State. In July 2025 she also competed at a Diamond League meet in Eugene.
Her story has regional and global reach. In the United States she is known through the NCAA, USATF, and the Mountain West Conference. Abroad, Brock Lesnar’s WWE and UFC audience helps her results travel fast on social media.
Search interest in her started with a viral moment in December 2023. A school record throw went viral, and many fans noticed how much she resembles her father. Since then, her titles have kept the attention steady.
Mya Lesnar’s Height, Weight, and Physique
Body stats are the most searched topic about Mya Lesnar. The honest answer is that no official source has confirmed them. Below is what is known and what is only estimated.
What Is Mya Lesnar’s Height?
Her height has never been officially confirmed in the sources that track her results. Online estimates range from about 5 ft 10 in to 6 ft (178 to 183 cm). Treat any single number as a guess.
How Much Does Mya Lesnar Weigh?
Her weight is not published either. Some pages list 165 lb, but those same pages call her a WWE wrestler, which she is not. Do not rely on them.
Elite shot putters are built for power and speed. A scale number says little about her results.
How Mya Lesnar’s Physique Compares to Brock Lesnar’s
Brock Lesnar stands about 6 ft 3 in and competed as a heavyweight in WWE and UFC. Mya has an athletic, strength-focused build suited to the throwing circle.
The two sports reward different bodies. Heavyweight combat favors mass and grappling power, while shot put favors explosive rotation and speed.
Fans often point out how much father and daughter look alike, especially in the face. Their shared drive matters more than any measurement.

Mya Lesnar’s Age and Childhood Background
Mya was born on April 10, 2002, so she is 24 years old as of October 2026. She grew up in Alexandria, Minnesota, alongside her twin brother, Luke.
She and Luke were born shortly after their father debuted in WWE. Sport was part of the family story from the start.
She attended Alexandria Area High School and played volleyball before committing to throws. She has said volleyball offers did not come, so shot put became her path.
The early signs were clear. In April 2019 she set a Central Lakes Conference indoor meet record in the shot put. By then she was already one of the top throwers in her state.
Exploring Mya Lesnar’s Athletic Journey
Her college path included two schools, a major transfer, and one Olympic Trials appearance. Each step added something to her game.
Her Early Athletic Career at Arizona State University
Mya began at Arizona State University and spent her freshman and sophomore years there. Those seasons built her base in shot put, hammer, and weight throw. The big breakthroughs had not arrived yet.
Why She Transferred to Colorado State University
After the 2021-22 school year, she moved to Colorado State University. She later credited head coach Brian Bedard and the team culture for her growth.
The move paid off fast. In February 2023 she won the Mountain West indoor weight throw title with a 20.68 meter personal best.
Her first outdoor season in Fort Collins was solid too. At the 2023 Mountain West Championships she took silver in the hammer, bronze in the shot put, and sixth in the discus. She then qualified for nationals through the NCAA West Regional and finished 17th at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
Mya Lesnar and the 2024 Paris Olympics
Mya Lesnar did not compete at the 2024 Paris Olympics. She did enter the 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Trials in Eugene, Oregon, in June.
She earned her place by throwing 18.68 meters at the NCAA West Regional. At the Trials she advanced to the final in 12th place with a 17.70 meter qualifying throw.
In the final she threw 16.77 meters and placed 12th of 12. Chase Jackson won with 20.10 meters. The next Games open to her are Los Angeles 2028.
Mya Lesnar’s Shot Put Career and Accomplishments
Her Best Shot Put Throws and Career Records
These are her best marks across four events.
| Event | Personal best | Where and when |
| Shot put | 19.60 m (64 ft 3¾ in) | Fort Collins, May 2025 |
| Weight throw | 22.06 m | Albuquerque, February 2024 |
| Hammer throw | 63.50 m | Long Beach, 2023 |
| Discus throw | 53.62 m | Clovis, 2023 |
Her 19.60 meter shot put came on May 3, 2025, at the Doug Max Invitational. It broke the Colorado State program and facility records.
Why does 19 meters matter? Women throw a 4 kg shot from a circle, and marks near 19 meters place a thrower among the best in college. The Trials winner threw 20.10 meters, which shows the gap she faces at the professional level.
Her 22.06 meter weight throw came at the 2024 Mountain West Championships, the same meet where she pushed her indoor shot put best to 19.10 meters. It shows her range across several throwing events, not just one.
Her progress was steady. She threw 18.50 meters in December 2023, 19.10 meters indoors in February 2024, 19.08 meters outdoors in May 2024, and 19.60 meters a year later.
